New materials firm Alterra Holdings Company (“Alterra”) made a strong presence that the SPE Thermoplastics Engineered Conference in Shanghai held on March 27 to 29, 2018. Alterra’s Chief Technical Officer, Dr. Sassan Tarahomi chaired the conference that had over 200 attendees from around the world. In addition, Alterra’s CEO, Dr. Arash Kiani, presented new biobased compounds for the automotive industry. Finally, Saquib Toor, Alterra’s investor and Founder of Beaconhouse Capital Management LLC, provided a keynote speech on Private Equity in the plastics industry as wells as niche opportunities in the EPDM markets.
Most surprisingly, Mr. Toor revealed that Alterra has made significant progress in the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV), and specialty bio-based elastomers market and will be launching several products in the coming months.
